Price-integrity monitoring for Google Shopping

Google is showing $0.00. You'll find out from your revenue chart.

Google's Merchant API migration is silently corrupting live prices — zeroed out, truncated to fractions of a cent, or multiplied by a million. No error. No dashboard warning. FeedWatchdog checks what Google is actually serving against your real prices, around the clock, and emails you the minute they diverge.

How it works

01

Point us at your feed

Paste your product feed URL — the same XML, CSV, or TSV file you already give Google. No code, no tags on your site.

02

We diff what Google serves

On every check, FeedWatchdog pulls the prices Google is actually showing shoppers and compares them against yours, product by product.

03

You get one useful email

The moment a price zeroes out, truncates, or drifts, you get an alert naming the exact products — and an all-clear when it's fixed. No noise in between.

Why now

Google is forcing every merchant off the Content API by August 18. The replacement Merchant API has a documented price-corruption bug: prices pass validation, the dashboard shows green, and shoppers see $0.00 — or $48,000,000. Merchants only find out when revenue craters or Google suspends the listing.

Your feed tool won't catch it — the corruption happens after your feed is ingested. The only defense is checking what Google actually serves. That's the entire job of FeedWatchdog.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. FeedWatchdog only needs your product feed URL — the file you already submit to Google Merchant Center. Setup is one form field.

How is this different from my feed management tool?

Feed tools (DataFeedWatch, Feedonomics, etc.) validate what you send to Google. The Merchant API bug corrupts prices after ingestion — everything upstream looks perfect. FeedWatchdog audits the serving side, which is the only place the bug is visible.

What happens after Google fixes the migration bug?

Price integrity isn't a one-bug problem — feeds break on currency changes, sale-price logic, partial syncs, and future migrations. FeedWatchdog keeps watching for all of it.

Does FeedWatchdog need access to my Merchant Center account?

The Starter plan needs no access at all. For Pro accounts we can optionally connect read-only to the Merchant API for deeper coverage — never write access.
